Douglas Dunn's many publications include Terry Street (1969), Love or Nothing (1974), winner of the Geoffrey Faber Memorial Prize, St Kilda's Parliament (1981), which won the Hawthornden Prize, Elegies (1985), a Whitbread Book of the Year, The Donkey's Ears (2000), The Year's Afternoon (2000) and New Selected Poems 19642000 (2003). Douglas Dunn has been a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature since 1981, and was awarded the OBE in 2003. He began teaching at St Andrews in 1989, and in 1993 founded the School of English's MLitt in Creative Writing: the first programme of its kind in Scotland.
