Martin MacIntyre

Mārtainn Mac an t-Saoir / Martin MacIntyre won the 2003 Saltire Society First Book of the Year Award for Ath-Aithne (Reacquaintance), a collection of Gaelic and English short stories; he has also published two novels: Gymnippers Diciadain (Wednesday Gymnippers) (2005) and An Latha As Fhaide (The Longest Day) (2008). Having won various awards for individual poems, his first poetry collection, Let Me Dance With Your Shadow / Dannsam Led Fhaileas, was published by Luath in 2006. Martin was crowned Bard at the National Mōd in 2007. He has also told stories to adults and children for a number of years and is a traditional Gaelic singer.
