Participants: Sonata Paliulyte

Sonata Paliulyte is a graduate of the Lithuanian Music and Theatre Academy, and lives in Vilnius as a poet, actor and freelance translator. Her poems and translations (from English into Lithuanian) have appeared in various literary periodicals and anthologies. In 2005 she won the prestigious 'Young Jotvingis' award for her first collection, P. S., and the translations in Menna Elfyn's bilingual collection, Veiled Kiss. She has recently translated a book-length selection of Emily Dickinson's poetry, and is finishing her second collection of poetry. Her poems have been translated and published in various magazines in Albanian, Chinese, Czech, English, Hebrew, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovenian, Swedish and Turkish.
