Participants: Stephen Scobie

Stephen Scobie was born in Carnoustie and attended the University of St Andrews, graduating in 1965. Since then he has lived in Canada, teaching at the Universities of Alberta and Victoria.  He has published over twenty books of poetry, including The Spaces in Between: Selected Poems 1965–2001 (2003). He won the Governor General's Award for Poetry in 1981, and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada. He has published criticism on topics ranging from Bob Dylan to Jacques Derrida, Leonard Cohen to Ian Hamilton Finlay.  His most recent book is RLS: At the World's End, a book of poems on Robert Louis Stevenson.
