Gill Bowman

Gill Bowman is well known on the Scottish music scene as a singer, songwriter and one of the country's finest interpreters of Scottish traditional songs, especially the works of Robert Burns. She has been a full time professional musician, writer and actor since 1990 and has travelled the world with her music and her many themed evenings and one woman shows.  Gill has recorded four solo CDs and a CD with musical partner Karine Polwart in the occasional duo MacAlias on the award winning Greentrax label. In the Footsteps of Clarinda was premiered on the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2007, affirming Gill's great love of the songs and interest in the life of Burns.
