Frank Kuppner, a poet of ‘bewildering range’, was born in Glasgow in 1951 and has lived there ever since. He has been Writer in Residence at various institutions, currently at Strathclyde. Carcanet have published eight books of his poetry, most recently What? Again? Selected Poems (2000), A God's Breakfast (2005) – of which Stuart Kelly wrote: ‘for all its chaos and contradictions, is no dog's dinner, but an exquisite mosaic of shards’ – and Arioflotga (2008).
