Participants: Fires of Love
Fires of Love is a professional quartet formed in 1998. They have performed all over Scotland in venues including the Queen’s Hall in Edinburgh, the Tall Ship in Glasgow harbour, and the inside of a brick kiln, as well as at Cambridge, Oundle, and the Wirral and Leicester festivals. Their first CD featured music of the Spanish Reconquest, and in 2008 they released their second disc, 16th century Parisian music from the circle of Adrian Le Roy, which has received radio playings and 4-star reviews from The Financial Times, The Scotsman and Goldberg music magazine. They are currently working on a new recording of Jacobean music, which will appear in 2013.
