Participants: Mohan Rana

Mohan Rana

Mohan Rana is a poet from India who writes in Hindi. He was born in Delhi in 1964, and has published seven poetry collections in Hindi: Jagah [Dwelling] (1994), Jaise Janam Koi Darwaza [As If Life Were a Door] (1997), Subah ki Dak [Morning's Post] (2002), Is Chhor Par [On This Shore] (2003), Pathar Ho Jayegi Nadi [River will become Stone] (2007), Dhoop Ke Andhere Mein [In the Darkness of the Sun] (2008), and Ret ka Pul [Bridge of Sand] (2012). A bilingual chapbook collection, Poems, with translations by Bernard O'Donoghue and Lucy Rosenstein, was published in 2011 by Poetry Translation Centre London. Mohan Rana’s poems are translated into European and Indian Languages, and he currently lives in Bath.
